Promoting Continuous Learning

In order to support teachers and provide resources to improve their skills, QRTA has created a network to connect educators in core content areas. As one component of this program, QRTA is working in partnership with TC to provide ongoing professional workshops for Jordanian teachers in science, English writing, and mathematics, and for principals in leadership for instructional improvement, among other offerings. The QRTA approach to professional development is intensive and developmental, offering educators a continuum of on-going learning opportunities to scaffold teachers’ knowledge and skills over time and address problems of implementation. Professional development is designed to inform Jordan’s Education Reform for Knowledge Economy (ERfKE) initiative. The knowledge gained in the workshops is reinforced and deepened by the communities of practice QRTA helps establish and continues to support.
